Painted circa 1880 it is a lovely playful depiction of a pretty seated young woman laughing as she is being serenaded by a musician. It is a colourful painting full of charm and good humour and an excellent example of Andreotti's work. Signed lower right. |

Biography | This vibrant still life oil painting is by Scottish artist Doris Zinkeisen. Painted circa 1950 the composition is a glass, lemon and two fondant fancies. They stand on a pink and white stripped table cloth and are the backdrop is a vibrant green curtain. The light catches all the objects beautifully and the brushwork is bold and decisive. A lovely and unusual still life by a leading Scottish female artist. |
