Description | This lovely Scottish Victorian woodland landscape oil painting is by noted Scottish artist John Reid. Painted and exhibited in 1880 at the Royal Scottish Academy, the location is Morden or Moredun Wood in Edinburgh. A number of pheasants plus two rabbits are pictured in a beautiful dense beech and silver birch woodland. A really lovely painting with fantastic detail and light. Signed lower right. |
