Description A very fine French World War I portrait oil on panel of a female nurse in uniform.  Dated 1916 and signed HenrI Jacquier it shows a nurse holding a hot cup of soup. The steam is rising from the bowl as she takes it to serve to her patients.

Frame Framed in a gilt gallery frame 26 inches by 23 inches. Very good condition.

Biography Henri Jacquier was born in St Etienne in France in 1878 and died in Cannes France in 1921. He was a painter in oils of portraits and historical subjects. His works hang in the Smithsonian and National Galleries.
