Title |
Portrait of Two Pottinger Sisters in a Wooded Landscape |
Description |
This superb British 18th century double portrait is attributed to the circle of George Henry Harlow. Painted circa 1780 the sitters are two sisters from the Pottinger family. The half length portrait pictures them in a wooded landscape. There is incredible first class detail in their facial features, almost photo realist, with a more sketchy impression of their garments and landscape. A really lovely 18th century double portrait of two sisters.
