A delightful oil on panel with Claudian blues and pinks in the sky. This is a stunning Old Master circa 1770 landscape in the 18th century Romantic landscape tradition which could be attributed to the circle of Thomas Gainsborough. It is in excellent condition, framed in a fine 18th century carved frame. The scene depicts a view with a dog drinking from a river/lake whilst the rider and horse wait and the landscape beyond in the distance. A fine 18th century Old Master British country house oil painting. Unsigned.
