| Biography | James Bridges (1802 - 1865) .Bridges was a landscape and portrait painter. He lived in Oxford with his brother John, who painted similar subjects. James travelled extensively in Italy, Sicily and Germany. He exhibited oil and watercolour paintings at the Royal Academy between 1819 and 1853 as well as the Royal Society of British Artists and the New Watercolour Society. |
