| Description | An original oil by Sir James Lawton Wingate, President of The Royal Scottish Academy. This painting shows a windswept Scottish Arran landscape. A superb Scottish Impressionist view. Painted circa 1915 when he was painting these light impressionist works. This is a lovely example of an early twentieth century Scottish Impressionistic oil. The airy, light feel of the landscape are particularly appealing. It is a good size with excellent provenance and in excellent condition. Signed right. |
