Title | Portrait of a Young Girl in a Peach Dress |
Description | This captivating portrait oil painting is by noted artist Georges Van Den Bos. Painted circa 1905, it is a half length portrait of a young girl wearing a peach dress with lace bodice and matching ribbons in her hair. There is incredible realism in her delicate facial features, moving to more impressionistic brushwork in her dress and hints at European modernism. She stands out beautifully against a dark background as she gazes out from the canvas, directly at the artist/viewer. A really lovely portrait and an excellent example of Bos' work.
