Description | This wonderful exhibited British Victorian floral still life oil painting is by female artist and flower painter Mary Rischgitz. Painted in 1886 it was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1887. It is a stunning opulent bouquet of delicate single dahlias in shades of red and white in a stunning brass vase on a table. A really lovely painting harking back to the Golden Age of Dutch flower paintings, by a gifted female artist who exhibited extensively throughout her artistic career. Signed lower left. |
