Description | This charming Victorian female portrait oil painting is by noted British artist Laslett John Pott. Painted circa 1865 it is a lovely portrait of a woman in a walled garden, holding a letter. She isnt actually reading the letter but gazing ahead as if contemplating its contents. There is lovely detail in her clothes and little basket of flowers on her arm. A thoroughly charming painting. Signed lower right. |
