Description | This charming Victorian genre oil painting is by noted British artist Frederick George Pasmore junior. The painting is full of rich colour and tells a story. The scene is a detailed interior of a cottage. Three children are sat by the fire, attempting to mend a clock that they perhaps have broken, while their terrier dog looks on. It doesn't look as if it is going well! A lovely late 19th century, dating to circa 1880, interior painting that would grace any home. Signed lower left. |
