Olof Hermelin (1827-1913)

Olof Hermelin (1827-1913) received his artistic training at the Academy in Stockholm and undertook several journeys on the Continent and in England. On his return to Sweden, he appeared as an ardent advocate for national Swedish values â%u20AC%u2039â%u20AC%u2039and became a prominent portrayer of the domestic landscape mainly in Uppland and Södermanland, but also examined the subject in other parts of the country. Represented at the National Museum in Stockholm, on the other Swedish museums as well as in Copenhagen and Philadelphia.
