Description | An original Scottish Impressionist oil by John Henderson. This fine painting dates to circa 1910 and has excellent provenance. It is an oil on canvas which depicts a river bordered by trees with dappled ligh shining through in a stunning and fresh palette. It was possibly painted in Stirling as there are other examples of his work which date to this period. This is a fine example of an early 20th century Scottish Impressionist oil with good subject. The colouring of the trees and water are particularly appealing. Signed lower John Henderson. |
