This beautiful British Victorian portrait oil painting is attributed to the circle of Sir Francis Grant. Painted circa 1850 it is a stunning head and shoulders portrait of a young woman with a cameo brooch at her neck. An amber curtain behind accentuates the portrait whilst a landscape can be seen beyond. He clear blue eyes gaze at the artist/viewer giving the portrait great warmth and intimacy. A superb 19th century portrait. |
