Edwin Glasgow (1874-1955)

Edwin Glasgow (1874-1955). Painter in oil and watercolour. Born in Liverpool, attended university there and in Oxford, several books of sketches of which he published. Was keeper of the National Gallery for several years in the 1930s. Exhibited RA, RI, provincial galleries and Paris Salon. Laing Art Gallery and Museum, Newcastle upon Tyne, holds his work. Lived at Charlbury, Oxfordshire.
