Alan Ian Ronald (1899-1967) - born in Edinburgh 6 June, died Dunferline. Painter in oil and watercolour; harbours, quaysides, and country scenes. Trained Edinburgh School of Art. Worked on the East coast in Scotland and in Germany in a powerful effective style. Lived for a time in Edinburgh before settling in Charlestown Fife. Elected RWS in 1935.
