Biography | John William Schofield (1865-1944) was a landscape, portrait and flower painter. RBA 1903. RI 1917. He was born in Halifax and lived in London. He attended Westminster School of Art under Fred Brown and furthered his studies in Paris with Bouguereau and Lefebvre. He exhibited Birmingham 9, Glasgow Institute 3, Arlington Gallery 10, Liverpool 15, Manchester 5, Royal Academy 29, Royal Institute 84, Royal Society of British Artists 134. |
